FACHI
First Aid to Cultural Heritage Initiative. Building practical capacity to safeguard cultural heritage in Armenia.
About the initiative
Cultural heritage can be damaged quickly by disasters, conflict, neglect or unsuitable interventions. FACHI helps people respond in the first critical moments, before professional conservation is possible.
The initiative builds practical skills among heritage professionals, volunteers and local communities so that cultural heritage at risk can be documented, protected and stabilised in time.
What we do
Training
Practical courses on first aid to cultural heritage for professionals, students and volunteers.
Documentation
Recording the condition of heritage sites and objects so that damage can be assessed and addressed.
Emergency response
Supporting the protection and stabilisation of heritage at risk together with local partners.
Awareness
Helping communities understand the value of their heritage and how to care for it.
